Rotterdam meets New York City – that’s Little C in a nutshell. A vibrant development in which people can live, work and stay.
Little C combines the allure of a metropolis with the vibes of a village. Connection is key here. And that is evident in the characteristic metal footbridges that link the buildings, the green squares that invite you to meet and greet and its unique mix of functions. There is a very good reason that this project won the Rotterdam Architecture Prize in 2021.

Community
Vigo was commissioned by Era Contour & J.P. van Eesteren to supervise the development of this lively district. Its small-scale design, diversity of functions and the thus-created hustle and bustle invite people to meet and connect.

After completion, Vigo activated the community, selected entrepreneurs for the commercial plinth and further developed the collaborative working concept for the office spaces.

Context
Little C has added a new dimension to the city to Rotterdam, a mixed-use area where there is always something to do.

Hardware
Fifteen apartment blocks, alternated with squares and plenty of greenery. All in an area of less than a hectare.
